Barbara Eilert founded Eilert Communications in 2002 to provide strategic marketing and communications services for small- to medium-sized businesses. She assembled and directs a top-flight team of strategists, marketers, graphic artists, and writers skilled in online and offline marketing. In the years since, the company has a proven record of success crafting strategic marketing mixes, resulting in sales growth for our clients. Team skills include digital marketing, integrated marketing strategy, media relations and PR.

A skilled marketing and sales professional in her own right, Barbara has served Fortune 500 companies like Ocean Spray Cranberries, Sara Lee Corporation and Boral Lifetile. From start-up companies to billion dollar businesses, Barbara’s experience spans many industries and leading brands in technology, healthcare, building and consumer package goods (CPG).

She counsels companies on business strategies, marketing mix and visibility campaigns. Her media work has benefited clients with mentions in national publications like the Wall Street Journal and Forbes.com. Her team works with clients on website re-design, social media and collateral to maximize results.

Barbara has generously given of her time to the community. She’s served on boards for Community Health Charities of Kentucky, HealthSpan International and the Louisville Bach Society. She’s also contributed her marketing talents to Louisville’s Art in the Arbor festival. Barbara serves as an adjunct faculty member at the Rubel School of Business for Bellarmine University. She teaches MBA courses on entrepreneurial strategy, marketing strategy and using improv for communication skills.

Marketing specialist & Certified Social Marketing Associate

Ashlee brings a wealth of experience in online marketing and social media, and is a Certified Social Marketing Associate, certified by the Certified Social Marketing AssociateDepartment of Education for Certifications of the eMarketing Association. Her work includes the interactive timeline for the Louisville Bach Society, developing and maintaining social media presence for clients and contributing to campaigns to increase branding and awareness.

Ashlee comes to us from NarrowCast Group, publisher of IT Business Edge, an online publication for IT professionals, where she held the role of Advertising Operations Analyst.

She has a background in Anthropology, for which she earned a Bachelors degree from the University of Louisville. We think that is perfect for marketing, which is all about people and how they live and interact with each other!

Graphic design and editorial specialist

Alicia’s design, writing and editing skills bring everything to life. Her work on bestageeverblog and weekly emails for best age ever are examples of her talent.

Prior to joining Eilert Communications, Alicia created newsletters, brochures, ads and other support materials for companies, including a landscaping firm and phone book company.  Alicia has a degree in Graphic Design from Michigan State University.
